We enjoyed seeing Jim and Naomi on Camano since it was Jim's birthday. I love this age when dinosaurs make little boys giddy with excitement. Jack and Naomi also are having a fun time together.

A Prophet at Safeco Field
We had a regional conference with President Nelson and President Eyring at Safeco Field on Sunday. Back when Paul and I were youth, prophets would travel and have conferences. I remember traveling to Los Angeles when I was a teenager to see Ezra Taft Benson. Paul remembers traveling to Houston to see Spencer W. Kimball with his family around 1977.

Trip to Vancouver
We took Frazier and Danika to Vancouver to enjoy the temple since Seattle Temple is closed for cleaning. Since we arrived early, we stopped at Costco to wander around. We even ate poutine in the food court.

Island Love
I love my Island. But sometimes I feel like I'm under a cloud. Usually I can improv my way out of it. A stack of fabric and a rotary cutter is all I need. I can cut freehand which means they are all unique.

Guicy Guice
I have always found it easy to paper piece the American way. I'm naturally a flip-and-sew girl. However, a little piece takes a long time to complete.

A New Bag
Katie requested a new bag since the first one has disintegrated. It's quite large and fits everything and a Shakespeare anthology. Naturally, it requires a lot of fabric and interfacing. I asked Marnie to model the first Birdie Sling years ago so naturally she had to do it again!

Trip to Deception Pass
With Amber visiting, we decided to take her to Deception Pass. The swirling whirlpools under the bridge are treacherous. The waterway is called the Strait of Juan de Fuca. When you visit, you can park after the bridge and walk down the trail all the way to the water. Some die each year when going off the trail, so stay on the trail. You may also stop at the Deception Pass State Park before the bridge and visit the water. We have done both and they are very similar.
