Calvin's Gig at the Morrill's

Calvin's band performed at Micah Morrill's birthday party in Snohomish. It was a fabulously sunny day! It is true that the neighbors called the cops when the band kept playing after 10:30pm.

Three Little Kittens

The Dark Lord Chuckles, the Silly Kitty, had three kittens on May 18th at 6pm. She did a great job!

Eurovan Up and Running again!

After a long winter in Utah, and a tow back to Washington, the Eurovan is going strong. That means a trip to church in comfort!

The Cherry Blossoms

For 9 years, I've been trying to get a family picture in front of the cherry trees planted at the church. So half the family is gone, but I got the picture!

Rock Band

Calvin and his band mates played for Micah Morrill's birthday at his house in Snohomish this weekend. Although it was a bit loud for the neighborhood, Liz had warned them ahead of time and promised it would only be one hour of music. That kept the complaints down.

Georgia's Poppy

I enjoyed appliqueing this red poppy by O'Carol Designs. You can fuse applique this piece, but I decided to turn the edges under and then quilt it to death. The black stamens are fused since they are so fussy. All red and black batiks.

A Trip to BYU Women's Conference

What fun! I got to visit with family and friends in Provo last week during BYU Women's Conference. I was able to stay with Jeri and her family. Here is Jacob and his ice cream:

And I got to spend lots of time with Katie. We hit Macaroni Grille for the first time, and loved it. We also went grocery shopping and located the model for the Smart Car. Get in, Katie!

Then we went to see Mary in Mapleton. I tried to get some good pics, but my camera was on the fritz. It's fun to see Mary and Katie together; they are so similar!

Mary's Kidlings

Visiting with my friend Mary was the highlight of our trip. If only she lived closer! Here is a pic of her children (and her humongulous fridge in the background). Mapleton is such a cute little town; close enough to Provo, but still quaint. Her kids are delightful, just like their parents.
