Island Love

I love my Island. But sometimes I feel like I'm under a cloud. Usually I can improv my way out of it. A stack of fabric and a rotary cutter is all I need. I can cut freehand which means they are all unique.

The house was a little trickier as far as planning, but I wanted to live inside this forest.

The top came later. It was obviously the wrong size the way it was. How about a title? I checked out Sarah Fielke's book "Stitch Your Story" to figure out how to write something above. I decided on a bias tape method. I used heat 'n bond tape to temporarily secure it before I appliqued it down.

I finished with a Hoffman butterfly print to pull it all together.
